Notes:

I have preferences for body, tail and wing length(s) but otherwise, it's just a Marabou Black Ghost with a spun deer hair head. One trick: Taper the floss body roughly 2/3's up towards the eye, tie in the marabou, then cement. I've found it's easier to pack (and flair) deer hair against that large end of the taper. In small sizes (8 and 10), with a gold cone, it's a great fast moving pocket-water fly. - Craig White (aka CTW)

Discussion Question: "Just for clarification....do you spin the deer hair right over the floss? I'm guessing the answer is yes, but just want to confirm. Once again, what a great looking fly.....I know I'll tie several this winter. Thanks! KM" Answer: "There might be any number of methods. Here's mine: Taper the body. Pack/flair the hair against the taper. Drawing courtesy of a pot of coffee before 8AM... CTW"
