Notes:

This is the first Mayfly of any importance, so fish the nymph (dark brown Hares Ear with some hint of red along the sides)during the late morning and switch over to the dry when these insects start to emerge during the early afternoons of late April and the first two weeks of May. Very good imitation of Iron fraudator. First tied by Theodore Gordon. The female is slightly larger and lighter in color. This species has only two(2)tails. -Dick
