Notes: This pattern is quit easy to tie but is one of the best lake patterns that I have ever used.

By weighting the hook between the eye and the bend you will find that it makes the hook ride point up. Making it semi weedless.

Wrap thread in front of and behind the weight to keep it in place. Next move the thread to the rear of the hook and tie in the tail. Tie in a piece of Flash Chenille and wrap to just behind the eye of the hook. As you are wrapping try and pull out the fibers so that they do not get trapped under. Tie off and finish the Head. Now for the part that makes this fly work, it is the trimming. Start by trimming the Flash chenille flat on the top and the bottom. Next you want to trim the sides but you want the shape looking from the top to look like a kite. So trim from the eye out on both sides, to the longest fibers of the flash chenille at the bend in the hook. Now trim in to were the tail and the body start. You have the fly finished. Use a loop knot to fish this fly with and it will undulate up and down in the water just like a real leach, as you pull and pause it. Good Luck
