Notes: Lessons learned: I used TMC 2302 hooks for the longer shaft length. On the rear end of the hook, I built up a thread dam on which to pack the first bundle of spun hair (found this tip in AK Best's Advanced Fly Tying Book). I used 6/0 thread for the spinning then switched to 8/0 for the remainder. For the antennae, used moose hari and cree for the hackle. If I were tying for myself, I would probably skip the antennae and trim the hackle flush with the body. As with every new pattern, it came easier as I went along. -Bob
